What is a virtual challenge?

A virtual challenge is a run that can be completed anytime and anywhere, even indoors on a treadmill between 06 Sept – 27 Sept 2020. Run at your own pace at your own time. Simply complete the virtual challenge to earn your Finisher medal & T-shirt.

How does a virtual run work?

Simply register for Ground Zero Run Virtual Challenge at www.groundzerorun.com.

Your entitlement is available for pick up from Mercy Relief’s office at 160 Toa Payoh Lorong 1 from 29 September – 22 October 2020 (Tuesday – Thursday 10am – 7pm)


How do I track my distance and time my run?

Although not mandatory, you are strongly encouraged to use a GPS-based app (Google Fir / MOVE) or a treadmill to track your run and tag us #runforhumanity on social media.


Can I walk/hike or climb the stairs?

Yes, any walking/running/hiking is eligible and that includes climbing up the stairs. Cycling/biking or using any mobility device is not considered as eligibility.


Must I complete the Virtual Challlenge in one course?

No, you don’t have to if you don’t want to. Run at your own pace. Finish it all at once, or break up the distance over the event period, it’s your call.


What is the distance for Kids Dash?

The distance for Kids Dash is 1KM.


Can my 6 years old sign up for the Kids Dash? Can she run with the relief pack too?


Yes absolutely. Kids Dash is for young runners aged between 3 and 12 with the option to carry a 1kg relief pack in a form of rice, bottled water or even beans. This race is designed to encourage kids to participate in a running event and develop a sense of empathy and compassion for their peers that live-in disaster-prone areas.
